Double-A Reading had all the makings of a dream team, but after a 15-28 start, the season has turned into a nightmare.
From Mike Drago’s Reading Eagle blog: "The Phillies organization wasn't saying anything about this 15-28 catastrophe, but it's clear they're not happy with what's going on with their Double-A club and they're about to make some changes."
Drago continues: "It's no coincidence that most of the Phillies minor league staff has gathered in Reading. Gorman Heimueller, the pitching coordinator is here. So is Don Long, the hitting coordinator. Outfielder coordinator Jerry Martin and catching coordinator Roly DeArmas are here. Dave Owen, the infield coordinator, is expected in Wednesday.
"By this time Wednesday, or perhaps following Thursday afternoon's game, the roster should receive a makeover. Some new players will be signed. Some current players will be released, or sent back to Clearwater." Click here for the rest of the story. Click here for R-Phils stats.

When it rains, it pours. 6 out of 7 lost, Hamels hurts his shoulder, Reading sucks eggs. Any good Phillies news today?
